Reviewed July 26, 2025A bold Rum crafted in a blend of pot & column still rum produced at the Foursquare distillery in Barbados that is aged for a minimum of 14 years in ex-bourbon casks, along with a portion aged in Madeira casks before being bottled at 48% ABV. It has an aromatic birth with notes of cane sugar, dark & dried fruits, citrus, nuts, herbs & spices; while a rich & spicy life added notes of vanilla, toffee, raspberry, cherry & orange zest; that led to a bold & warm death of medium length with a touch of oak, clove, dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, tobacco, cinnamon, ginger, clove & barrel char. -

Reviewed September 6, 2023 (edited May 28, 2024)Nose o.k. but the taste! So sweet! Didn't see that comming. Sweetest rum/whisky/cognac whatever I've ever tasted. And all about the oak/cask, forget the distilate. Distillery character? Never heard of. Maybe not for me. Or maybe keep it for wintertime, when its freezing outside and then some of this. And why on earth is it colored? Almost offensive. At first I gave it only 2.5, but after comparison with some other rums/bourbons changed it to 3. If you like sweet liquid oak its not bad at all, but if you like cane juice spirit there is no point. -

Reviewed March 3, 2022 (edited August 15, 2022)Very tannic, almost mouth watering. Vanilla, woody oak, almost creamy. Bizarrely I’m ever so slightly reminded of Sauternes 😮
