Nose is full of leather. It completely wraps smoke and alcohol and keeps it at bay. Taste is on the bitter / dry side, little bit sour perhaps. Like a red dry wine, especially alibernet. On palate I can sense strong black currant like taste which at times hints the smoke but does not let it take over. Very pleasant and unique experience. Definitely on the strong sensual side.61.95 EUR per Bottle

After trying out 5ml sample my impression was not all that great however I was intrigued to give it another shot and so I have bought myself a whole bottle. And I am glad I did this since this one is likely going to be regular in my bar. On the nose I can sense leather and sweetness and behind all that hint of vanilla and a subtle smoke. Mouthfeel is sweet, rich and slightly oily. Finish is a little bit spicy with a smoke taking over together with a peaty and grassy tones. As the smoke fades away I am left with a taste of green apple or perhaps a pineapple. All in all great experience, I think this is really approachable whisky for just about anyone. It stands out by being well rounded and enjoyable without much effort. It goes down easily and probably would be described by many as a "smooth" whisky.34.2 EUR per Bottle

Ron Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva Rum
Aged Rum — Venezuela
Reviewed April 5, 2021 (edited April 20, 2022)There is quite a lot of hype around this rum, so when my uncle offered to open this bottle I was excited to taste it. But it was a let down. On the nose it is a rum, but taste opens up with sweetness and stays like that for the whole time. My attempt to find more subtle tastes or at least a hint of the oak (12 years in ex bourbon my ass) was met with a lot of resistance from the sweetness as if it was trying to hide something from me... And to be honest what I was able to find was not all that pleasant. At it's price range I am not expecting miracles, however I don't think this bottle is worth the money, since for about the same price tag you can get yourself for instance 12yo Doorly's that actually delivers on its promises.34.9 EUR per Bottle -
Glenfiddich 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed February 2, 2021 (edited March 11, 2021)Lack of smoke and peat makes me feel like I am drinking Irish whiskey. I would have a really hard time telling this one apart from the original Jameson. Not a bad bottle but there is nothing that stands out about it.5.1 EUR per Shot -
Loch Lomond 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands , Scotland
Reviewed January 31, 2021 (edited February 7, 2021)Kind of leatherish on the nose. Tastes of very subtle smoke and apples. I have this love and hate relationship with scotch, I don't really like them but I always come for more.35.6 EUR per Bottle -

Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed January 24, 2021 (edited January 31, 2021)Banana, vanilla, peanuts and hint of glue/nail polish on the nose. Taste matching the nose. Really distinct from the others, would probably be able to pick it up with blind taste. I personally use it as a benchmark and associate its taste with high corn content whisky. Solid every day sipper. Favorite 'corn' whisky so far.23.2 EUR per Bottle
