Reviewed July 25, 2024A delicate, Irish Whiskey by Dunville's (originally Spirit of Belfast founded in 1808) that is a blend of pot still, malt & grain whiskeys made with the family's recipe from local organic barley; aged in ex-bourbon casks. It has an aromatic birth with notes of fruits, grain, nut, wood & spices; a rich & balanced life adds notes of freshly baked bread, toasted malt, vanilla bean, pear, citrus, almonds & oak; that leads to a long & herbal death. Reviewed January 12, 2023Not the strongest nose. Small fruity aroma. Taste is soft and very sweet. Butter, vanilla, lemon notes. Some light pepper too. Some incredibly mild smokiness. Easy drink but incredibly uncomplicated. One for beginners or cocktails more so.
