Edradour 10 Year The Distillery Edition

Quite savory spices and nuts with a deep Oloroso cask influence. For a 10 years old very serious and surprisingly complex and deep. More on the dry side with a younger alcohol burn. But likeably good. (Tasted after a hearty barbecue outside on the terrace in light rain - definitely added to the experience.)

Sweet honey

Nose: rich, vanilla, grape, cognac, honey, smooth, a bit tropical, slight cinnamon spice Body: smooth, woody, Tiny bit dry, very rich Palate: tannic, caramel, oak, spice, honey and vanilla, a bit of banana, tropical. Very rich Finish: oaky and a dull spice

Herbal and earthy with sweetness in the background and a smokey finish.

Sherry bomb. Nose: sweet, candied fruit. Plum. Palate: smooth then some warming spices, sweetness, nuts. More spicy on the second sip. Aftertaste: i was expecting some longer finish. Some sweetness. Spices remain longer and became dominant after a few sips. Some dryness.
