El Diamante del Cielo Añejo Tequila
El Diamante is triple-distilled in small pot stills after steaming and fermentation. It is made from 100% agave and is aged up to four years in oak. The tall, slender bottle is distinguished by a decorative topaz background that amplifies the spirit's coppery color.
Tequila AñejoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged for at least a year in barrels not to exceed 600 liters. Any type of wood is acceptable, but ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Añejo tequilas are also known as "aged" or "extra aged".
"Initial impressions are of earthy aromas bolstered by caramel and brown sugar, some bitter chocolate and vanilla. Oak, woody spice and pepper emerge on the palate and continue on into a somewhat short finish that also displays nutty caramel. The extended ageing doesn't seem to add much here, but a splash of mineral water makes for a refreshing quaff."
