El Tesoro Blanco Tequila

Smells like freshly cut greens with a hint of ethanol coming through. Herbal palate, slightly sweeter than G4 (which I tasted just before). Very agave-forward like a good Blanco should be. Finish is a little peppery and slightly earthy. This is the old "Platinum" square bottle which is supposedly exactly the same as the new "Blanco" label.

This is pretty much what you hope every blanco will taste like. Fresh, clean agave taste with just a touch of black pepper and herbal earthiness on the finish. Wonderful.

Agave flavor is complemented nicely by the lemony smells and smooth aftertaste. Not very much of sipping tequila but goes beautifully in cocktails.

As a bourbon drinker getting into “authentic tequila” this is amazing! Even my wife, who doesn’t like tequila unless it’s a margarita, said it was very enjoyable. Clean, smooth agave taste with natural sweet notes. Great mouthfeel as well.
