Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch A121

Deep ruddy copper color. The nose has intense notes of vanilla bean, toffee and cinnamon with a little dried tobacco and spearmint. Heavy, almost creamy mouthfeel. The palate has rich vanilla, charred cinnamon stick, and lots of oak, with hints of cherry cola, nutmeg, anise and a faint note of rye grass. Long, dry finish driven by the baking spices, oak and a little leather.

Tasting notes from Distiller expert capture my experience fairly well. Got more complex as it sat and with a few drops. Finish is longest I've had for a bourbon. Better than Booker's which is the other limited release high proof bourbon I've had recently.

Right on the heels of B520, just not quite as mouth coating or rich.

Finally scored a Batch A! This is very good! An awesome nose and taste to match. Strong sweetness with nose with notes of brown sugar, leather, and apples on the palate. It does end with a quick dryness.
