Batch A119. Tasted in a glencairn with a couple of tsp of water.
On the nose: very sweet, cherry and marmalade candy
Taste: strong, oak and dark cherry marmalade, vanilla and cinnamon spice, cool menthol when going towards a dry finish.
Smell: Light vanilla and brown sugar. Warm smelling. Definitely can sense the heat behind the barrel proof strength as well. I get a fresh baked bread smell with a little fruit on the nose after a couple sips.
Taste: First sip is very hot and seems to coat the mouth. Not a lot of taste. Following sips start as a sweet brittle and fade into a brown sugar note for my palate. Warm and inviting despite being pretty hot.
Neat. 11/4/20.
