Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Bourbon

The apple and cinnamon are very apparent. It’s toasty but spicy and hot. It’s a great autumn whisky.

Spicy but incredibly smooth pour. Oak, vanilla, and a sweet floral note on the nose. Spiciness tempered by s’mores and a nice smoky oak gives way to a smooth finish and just the right amount of a delayed burn.

Sweet vanilla and s’mores on the nose. Tasting reveals sweet oak and molasses with the perfect amount of spice. Shorter finish and easy to drink, a wonderful dram to relax with.

On the nose, an immediate bomb of brown sugar and vanilla infuse the nostrils. Further wafts unravel subtle notes of the charred oak and I also pick up caramel and molasses. Some background spices make themselves known but are faint. The mouth swish brings out black pepper notes as well as rye spice. The vanilla and brown sugar also make themselves known filling the mouth is sweetness, with a lasting finish. Lovely pour.
