Empress 1908 Indigo Gin

Can’t help but wonder how much the color impacts what you think you’re tasting (like Superman ice cream) but I loved this. A great nightcap with a enough floral to carry the drink neat, but not be overwhelming.

Very cool presentation. It looks like grape Kool-Aid in your glass. Once you smell it, you know it’s gin. Strong juniper aroma. On the palate, juniper and grapefruit and some sweetness. Piney mouthfeel and a long finish with some black licorice coming thru. Overall, this is pretty good gin. I’m not into drinking gin neat, but this one needs to get several more tastes and it’s going to add a ton of style points and fun to your cocktails. Worth a purchase.

Surprisingly sweet and floral. A great sip straight or as a G&T. Turns purple as a G&T.
