Nothing special on the nose. Smells like your prototypical bourbon. If I really reach for it, I can pick out some honey. The nose can be a bit sharp from the alcohol, but I stop noticing after a few sips. The taste is reminiscent of funnel cake and the essence of maraschino cherries. The short-medium length finish begins as cherry cough syrup resolving to maraschino cherry and then a faintly bubble-gum flavor. I can't say I'm disappointed having paid $25 for a 1.75 L.
picked this up for the first time on my way down to Kentucky to visit Bardstown and go on a few bourbon tours. This has grown to become my go to bourbon. I have seen it offered for a range of prices but picked up a 750 ml for $13.99 in southern Indiana which is the cheapest I have seen so far. this was the first BIB product I have tried so it does have some sentimental value as well
A great value bourbon, especially considering how smooth it tastes while being 100 proof. The typical bourbon flavors are present, but they're all amped up while not being overwhelming. Vanilla, oak and peanuts are the most dominant flavors for me, plus it has a great warm finish.
