Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon

Here is one of the most available bottled in bonds out there...Evan Williams BIB. You can pick this up everywhere for 15-20 bucks. The mash bill is the standard Heaven Hill 75% Corn, 13% Rye, 12% malted barley. The color is a nice golden color. The aroma is sweet vanilla, caramel, corn, and brown sugar. The taste is the same with a touch of oak and some dark fruits. The finish is medium and has some spice and brown sugar. This is a great daily drinker since the price is right. This one should be in every bourbon drinkers cabinet.

Great sipper and an amazing bargain for the price.

On the nose, I get a corn-y bite, caramel, vanilla, a cinnamon/ baking spices sharpness and a lighter amount of cherry and banana. On the taste, I still get more of that same corn note but with stronger caramel, vanilla, oak, and baking spices on the palate. The fruity flavors are weaker on the taste than the nose for me. As a reference, I have a slight preference for Evan Williams 1783 even though it is lower proof and a much larger preference for Wild Turkey 101 which I believe is similar but stronger underlying flavors, more complexity, and less corn/ malty notes.

Pear, spice, butterscotch on the nose. Oak on the palate with a medium finish. Really surprised at how much the spice jumped out with the 2nd and 3rd sip. Very prominent spice on the nose. It gives that wonderful Kentucky hug. I think I may have found my new sipper.
