Nose: beautiful toasted oak spice and raisin in golden corn sauce (4.25ish)
Palate: fig, chocolate, tobacco, slight mint, and baking spices. It seems very crush-able and light for the 99 proof with wonderful mouthfeel and some complexity, and I'm appreciating that it's not heavy for once. (4.25ish)
Finish: Acetone, acidic esters show up to remind us of its age. It doesn't ruin what comes before, but it makes you want to drink more to get back to the first part... (3.5ish)
I'm tempted to raise this to a 4 star rec because it is an insane value and steal..
