I give this some points for originality, but it just doesn’t really work. The aroma is really funky, with heavy notes of sawdust - not an aroma one usually gets from a whisk(e)y. The taste is VERY light and flat, although there are some decent bready and chocolatey notes on the finish. It’s just a weird experience - which is okay as far as it goes but I’d never buy a bottle of this or recommend it to anyone, really.
I like this for its unique flavor. I couldn't quite place what was so different about it until I read it was smoked over cherry wood. Now I want to have some next time I'm BBQing.

First sniff smells very smoky and bready. Almost like a dry cereal. First taste is a very smoky whiskey with heavy spicy notes and bold malted barley notes. Light hints of cherries notes.
Nose of fresh cut wood, toffee, and a sweet breadiness. The palate is full of dark chocolate and toast. A finish of slight rye spice but not overwhelming
