Earthy and grainy on the nose. Tastes like a horse stall smells. Finish is leathery and briney.

Smells earthy like peanut butter, grains. Tastes like a barn or a haystack.

I liked this. Smooth with strong dark chocolate and cherry flavors. Rye comes through and the cherrywood smoke is excellent.

Nose - herbal and a bit of green sap, some light spice, unripened fruit, pine Palette - light, green wood or evergreen, rye spice, some maltiness and a bit tangy Finish - lingering green wood, mild burn

So, imagine a bucket, on the ground, under a horse’s feeding trough. A heavy rain comes, soaks the barley and hay in the trough, then drips down into the bucket. Want a drink from that bucket? This whisky is not for me, stale, sour, mildewed grain and hay water from an old bucket.
