Tasting Notes
"The earthy, rustic flavor profile of this mezcal speaks of the tepextate's long life. Much like a chicken, the older they get the less tender and supple they are. But they begin to take on deeper and more intense flavors. Aromatically it is fresh and herbal and speaks of the earth with notes of mastic, frankincense and apple peel which are mirrored exactly on the palate. There is very little fruit in this mezcal but that won't be a problem for those of us who like to get their taste buds dirty."
