Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon

This is as close to perfect as I would assume someone could get for $50 a bottle or so. This is a terrific bottle, with a very sweet taste, little heat but a nice warmth to it.

Brown sugar, a little hot but to be expected from an under 60 quality bourbon. My go to when comparing price to benefit.

Though I am not typically a fan of hig rye bourbons, some do make my VIP section in my home bar. FRSB is definitely one of those elite high ryes. I get spicy oak and cherry notes, and for me, a good moderately long finish. I get this at costco for a good price, and I have not had a bad batch yet. The spicy oak and cherries are pretty consistent across all the bottles I have owned. As a daily drinker this is a 8.75 for me. Not a special occasion drink but I wouldn’t drink this bottle down with just anyone.
