Four Roses Small Batch Select Bourbon

Balanced bourbon, somewhat fruity and smooth, faint spice finish

I could feel chocolate / cocao on the nose. First taste has a bit of spice but gives way to some caramel taste. Good mouthfeel and a lingering but not overpowering heat. Its got a lovely sweetness as it opens up after being in the glass a while, i got some brown sugar.

Nice mid-priced bourbon. Not quite as smooth or caramely as Angel’s Envy or Barrell, but solid for the price point.
