Cherries, leather, other stone fruits, Wood vanilla, and mouth-coating richness. A lot more complex than 4Roses Small Batch or yellow label, maybe a touch more interesting than single barrel. Wonderful once in a while. It would spoil me if I had this as a daily tot.
Toasted caramel, light oak and brown sugar on the nose. Very subtle burn when neat, but if you like a smoother taste add some purified water and let it open up beautifully.
I really liked this at first, but not so much now. Something about the Four Roses recipe that I'm discovering is not up my alley. Single barrel is pretty decent, but this and the regular small batch have lost favor with me.
