Reviewed December 15, 2023 (edited January 7, 2024)Richly appointed nose with a plethora of baking spices, vanilla and boozy whiskey balls. A light entry on the palate that teases you with a feather touch, but quickly transforms into a powerhouse of intense oakiness. A dry, woody flavor permeates the grain bill, leaving any inherent sweetness incognito. The body is medium, and the finish is extra long. We find this whiskey to be perfect for an Old-Fashioned, Mint Julep or Gold Rush; basicaly any cocktail that calls for an extra bit of sweetness. -

Reviewed March 18, 2023Batch 1, bottle 107. Nose not surprisingly dominated by charred oak, with cinnamon, apple, ethanol, toasted caramel, and vanilla. Sweet and pretty smooth; charred oak, caramel, vanilla, cherry, apple and cinnamon. Shortish charcoal finish. Overall good, but not particularly special. After some time in the air, I have decided to bump it up a notch. I’m getting increased richness, bright fruit, and oaky caramel complexity. Give it some time…99.99 USD per Bottle
