Fremont Mischief Gin
Fremont Mischief // Washington, USA
Fremont Mischief Gin is made in Seattle, Washington and is made with at least some local botanicals that the distillery describes as "euphoric and aphrodisiac." The distillery also produces a couple of vodkas and several whiskeys at the distillery named for the neighborhood in which they are located.
Modern GinAlso has been referred to as "Contemporary", "New Western", "New Wave", and "New American". This style is not legally defined. In general, this category of gin, while it does contain juniper, places less of an emphasis on this botanical. Other botanicals not classically used in London Dry gins are often utilized and often highlight botanicals grown in the region the gin is produced. Most produced as either London Dry or Distilled Gins.
"The botanicals in Fremont Mischief Gin are light in aroma, with a few notes of citrus and flowers wafting up from the spirit. It's soft and rounded on the palate, with just a little juniper bite and bright notes of citrus and coriander. It's a nice, approachable gin, but one that may not have the oomph to stand up in some traditional cocktails."
