Frey Ranch Straight Bourbon

Lots of caramel and motors of vanilla

Nose: caramel, barrel char, light oak, dried green apple. Palate: sweetness, more caramel Finish: more apple, light ethanol, medium-long finish length (longer than I would expect for 90 proof) An incredible 4-grain bourbon at only 90 proof.

Not great, not bad. I got a lot of vanilla and sweet notes, but not a lot of complexity which isn’t always a bad thing. A decent sipping whiskey that would also hold up in a mix with the slightly higher proof.
