G4 Añejo Tequila

A complex, Agave Spirit by NOM 1579 cooked in stone & brick ovens, crushed with a mechanical tahona, fermented in stainless steel, 2X distilled in Copper Pot Stills, aged for a minimum of 1 year in oak barrels before being blended & bottled at 40% ABV. It has an aromatic death of roasted agave, earth, wood, citrus, melon, nuts, herbs & spices; while a rich & complex life adds notes of vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, orange, platanos & lemongrass; that led to a long & warm death with notes of black pepper, oak, molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg, dark chocolate & black tea.

Very nice and tasty! So smooth

Big barrel on the nose but less pronounced on the palate. Still good, but I feel like the lovely nuance of the blanco and reposado has been lost.

Lime and salty agave nose. Citrus zing, sweetened oak, warming agave. Touch of ash. Moderate warming finish.

This was probably the most pleasant tequila I have ever tasted. Agave flavor is the prominent and pretty much the only flavor so it is perfect for sipping.

Decent tequila, but very light for an anejo. Tastes like a lightly barreled blanco. Not for sipping.
