George Remus Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Day 9 of calendar, serious burn to it, the rock helps smooth it allowing the flavors to come through. Spice, zesty, apple, and vanilla (was lost at first). For me one where one or two cubes are needed to enjoy.

Hints of vanilla on the nose. The taste is bright and warm with a simple finish.

The nose is herbal, floral, and briny. The palette hits with a noticable syrupy sweetness at first, followed by some spiciness and more herbal notes. It reminded me a bit of tea. The finish is woody and slightly spicy with a hint of oily.

On the nose: I get toasted marshmallow with hints of honey, vanilla, and caramel On the palate: A nice light toasted caramel flavor with hints of green apple and citrus. The finish: the best part. The citrus is just enough to combine with this sweet bourbon to create an old fashioned type of aftertaste. Overall: great stuff! Will be trying this again soon!
