George T. Stagg Bourbon (Fall 2019)

This bottle holds the title for the best bourbon I’ve ever enjoyed. It is so good. Dark cherries and the finish goes on and on.

Nose is very oaky with a hint of smoke. Not the strongest nose. Flavor is all vanilla and cherry for me, finishes strong and oily with oak and more vanilla. Pretty sweet and tart. Mouthfeel is addicting and very viscous.

Sweet, warm and soft caramel candy and vanilla nose with a caramel cotton candy, black cherry and light oak taste. Long charred barrel with burnt caramel finish.

Nose - S’mores, oak, caramel. Melting marshmallows over a campfire. A little bit of grape. After a swirl a caramel bomb hits you and its NICE. Palate - Some really nice barrel char. Very savory and rich. Mouthfeel isn’t super full but very comfortably thick. Very smoky and savory. Cinnamon butter on the mouthfeel and after a swish. Finish - Baked fruit and barrel spice. Nice and warm on the way down. BBQ steak at the very beginning, then turning into that baked fruit and spice dessert. Dark chocolate finish!!
