George T. Stagg Bourbon (Fall 2024)

Always a classic and worth the pour. This year runs HOT! Less fruit and more leather and tobacco.

More buttery and less fruity than last year, sadly. Those two usually don’t mix well. Also ran hot, which is rare for me.

This just is not made for me. I dont need or want a 68% spicy hot bourbon. Nose was amazing but palette is extreme.

Viscous, smooth, oaky finish but not super tannic, brown sugar butter, vanilla, maybe some toffee in the finish.
