Notes of sherry and honey on the nose, the same for the palate, plus some spicy notes, nutmeg and ginger, something fruity, the finish is slightly astringent and woody.
So this one time my roommate brought back some cheese from Barcelona which made everyone’s mouth go tingly and then numb. This dram really brought me back to that cheese.
Salted caramel and spices on the nose, body is very rich with more spiciness. I'm not getting as much of a sea influence as I expected, and also wouldn't have guessed this was a Campbelltown. Maybe the Sherry finishing is covering those notes. Easy drinking, but don't think it's unique enough or a good enough value to buy again.
I love most whiskey but just couldn’t get behind this. The nose had the normal Smokey characteristics but I also got a fresh cut grass mixed with a manure like smell. It was just not pleasant. The taste was better but had a perfume like thing happening. Overall, just not for me
