Glen Scotia Double Cask Single Malt

Probably it for everyone, rather intense dark grapefruit and Sherry. But I liked it very much

Briney and bitter. Viscous like 0w20 on the tongue. First thought was sweaty gym socks on the neck pour. The sherry dominates on the nose. When I say bitter imagine eating a grapefruit peel. I love when a distillery gives total commitment on a release. Direct hit 🎯 on this bottle.

Vanilla and butterscotch

Having only tried springbank from Campbeltown, this has a lot of what I like. A bit lighter and less complex than the 15, which is one of my favorites.

Nose: dark chocolate sweetness, hint of spice, deep and rich, subtly complex Nose after swirl: lighter, less deep dark notes, more honeycomb Palette: medium thin mouthfeel, nowhere as sweet as the palette, surprisingly... heat! classic scotch notes with that Pedro Ximinez Sherry cask finish rearing its head, honey, dark fruit, and Finish: heat and long, slightly darker notes on the finish that carry through from the pallete

Very sweet, briney, and fruity. Great legs. Very rich and an abv of 46%. Love the Sherry flavor
