Glenfarclas 15 Year

Really nice, smooth and slightly sweet

Another one I have heard good things about. Let’s get to it. The nose is fruity and sweet with orange marmalade, raisin, pear, malt, light milk chocolate, some oak and hint of yeasty bread. The palate is sweet and oily with more orange marmalade, oak, musty malt, light baking spices. The finish Is long with rich vanilla cake, musty malt and a nice spiciness lingering on the back of the palate. I like this one. It’s rich on the caramelized fruit. I’m curious what even more age will do.

What a beauty... The nose is amazing. Christmas cake, raisins and sherry for starters, even some plums. On the palate the body of this feels amazing, dried fruits, apricots, walnut and a delightful spiciness really warm complex and long finish. A complex and at the same time easy to sip experience... totally recommended

Very nice dram. I like Glenfarclas, especially as it compares to another Speyside distillery that starts with an M. On the nose, I get pears, red apple and some vanilla. Tastes of dried fruit and some licorice. Classic Glenfarclas with a little burn from the slightly higher ABV. Finish is medium, nothing spectacular, blackberry jam and red wine. Overall great and would be my go to Glenfarclas if it was available in the US.

Bottle got noticeable better but took 6 months of being openand 2/3 gone.
