Reviewed August 9, 2016A family favorite and my first 18 years whisky. However, the newer bottle's taste is quite 1D. Still quite good. Quite oak-y taste, vanilla, however quite little sherry compare to others. -

Reviewed July 27, 2016 (edited November 13, 2020)Batch #3047 Nose - Chocolate covered dark cherries, dark caramelized sugar, vanilla caramel, red wine stewed plums. You definitely get an oaked sherry nose. Taste - Dark chocolate, hint of coffee, dark cherries, lightly sour pomegranate juice, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, baked apple, lightly bitter like baked apple skins. Finish - Dark dark bitter chocolate covered dark sour cherries, light oaky sweet bitterness. 90/100
