Glenlossie 10 Year Flora & Fauna
Single Malt
Glenlossie // Speyside, Scotland
The Flora & Fauna collection is comprised of 26 different distilleries. It was launched in 1992 by their then owners, United Distillers, who created this series to highlight unknown distilleries and had them represent their regions from whence they are distilled.
The current owner, Diageo, chose to discontinue the series in 2010. Glenlossie, established in 1876, is very rarely seen as a distillery bottling and is typically sought after for blending purposes.

Tasting Notes
"Though the whisky is bright on the nose with a honey and floral note, there is an earthy quality found as well--much like damp, freshly dug up soil. The whisky is soft on your palate with a sweet malty back note and a small amount of citrus peel. There's nothing really wrong with the dram; there's sufficient sweet, spice, and pleasantness to it, but there is little to memorialize the experience."
