Glenmorangie 1970's Collection '75 Tain l'Hermitage
Single Malt
Glenmorangie // Highlands, Scotland
The second 1975 vintage in the 1970s Collection, the '75 Tain l'Hermitage is a look back at a 28 year old release from 2003. It's a testament to the distillery's exploration of finishing their whiskies to develop the fruity, floral Glenmorangie profile.
The whisky here was first aged in American oak, before being finished for four years in barrels which held Tain L'Hermitage wine from the Northern Rhone Valley. The original release included 4,000 bottles.

Tasting Notes
"Red wine makes its presence felt on the nose, with berries and plums, along with lemon zest, and drier, spicy notes of oak, coriander and black pepper. The palate offers oaky tannins, cinnamon and baking spices. Chocolate and sweet notes show up with dark berries, plums and faint citrus notes. A long, dry finish lingers with more of that red fruit and wine influence and leaves you with a tingling on the lips. "
