Goldschläger Schnapps Liqueur

Nose burns, partially from the heat and partially from the cinnamon. Finishes really well with the long cinnamon aftertaste. Unfortunately one-dimensional but executing well on the intended product. Would love to see a barrel-aged version.

Underrated. Smooth viscous mouthfeel with just the right amount of cinnamon adjunct. If anything, just a bit basic.

MUCH stronger than I expected!

All cinnamon on the nose as expected. The sweetness does not appear until the taste. But the flavor tends a bit toward toothpaste. Very full bodied. I think I’d stick with Fireball. The gold flakes are a little gimmicky. But kinda cool.

A lot more cinnamon intensity and ethanol burn than Fireball whiskey. Less sweet, too. I can see where Fireball would be more popular overall, but I think I slightly prefer Goldschläger. A shame that it’s heyday as a popular bar shot in the ‘90’s seems to died. I know the gold flakes are just a marketing ploy, but it’s a good one.

Classic cinnamon liqueur. The gold flakes are a gimmick, but pretty nonetheless. Only a little is needed or else it overpowers other flavors.

Pre-Distiller tasting. My original go-to cinnamon candy syrup shooter at a party.

Better than Fireball I guess...
