This is the first Anejo tequila that I've tried so I'm just rating this based on how much I'm enjoying it. Which is a lot.
The nose is a spicy tequlia creme brulee.
Starts sweet on the palate, but gets more savory as the flavours develop. The mouthfeel is buttery smooth. Caramel notes to begin, with the agave ever present. Morphs into spices like clove, allspice and black pepper.
The finish is lengthy and warm. More sweetness and a bit of jalapeno.
I could easily drink a whole bottle of this in one sitting if I were an idiot gringo. Well actually I am, so I probably will.
