"The nose is rather muted and has not much to offer other than some some ethyl alcohol. The palate tells a much different story. There's a perfumy, floral brightness that leads to notes of Thai basil, green pepper, and a distinct sweetness that coats the lips. The finish has a medicinal quality that would lend itself to some fascinating cocktails. Not quite rum, and moonshine doesn't seem like it needs to be on the label as one thinks of whiskey, which this absolutely is not. As there are limited examples of commercial Okolehao available, it is worth seeking out."
