Heaven's Door Straight Tennessee Bourbon

Nose: peanuts, peanut brittle. Palate: Slightly sweet, slight spice and smoke, peanut brittle returns, leather. Finish: minimal burn, short finish with some spice and a late introduction of tobacco. Not a very complex bourbon. Just misses the "excellent" mark, but is still very good. A decent sipper. It will be interesting to see how subsequent pours pan out. I might buy again, depending.

N: banana, nut, sweet P: oak, nutty, faint vanilla, creamy F: young oak, baking spice Simple, pleasant young oak with a faint creamy vanilla background, nice mild baking spice with long lasting oak finish. Thin viscosity but with a little creaminess on the palate. This was a gift, nice to have on the shelf.

Reminds me a bit of BT, but less on the fruity side. Nice caramel and oak notes throughout.
