Stephanie's review is spot on. Though there's quite a bit of variance across HP vintages, this particular bottling (2014) is stunning—wonderfully creamy, toffee- and barley-rich. If you can afford the $120 or so for a bottle, I'd strongly recommend picking one up.

What makes Highland Park 18 so special is the excellent balance of peat and sherry which has led to a "creamy" characteristic I have found in only a couple of whiskies. Sweet with a wisp of smoke, this stuff is heavenly.
