Highland Park Svein
Single Malt
Highland Park // Islands, Scotland
Svein is one of six bottlings in the Warrior series and is available in Global Travel Retail. Svein is named after a Viking warrior who considered Orkney his home.
When he wasn't feasting and drinking in the winter months he would plant the fields and reap them himself when it was time to harvest. In his spare time, he would go back to his plundering and murdering ways in the Hebrides and in Ireland.

Tasting Notes
"There is a sultry quality to the whisky, almost musky. Some fruit like candied orange peel is found along with nougat (like from a Three Musketeers candy bar). The smoke factor is low. The dram is soft at the beginning of your palate and is more savory than fruity. Barrel spice shows up and helps to provide a welcoming dryness on the finish. This finish, however, is a bit on the short side and is not very complex."
