Reviewed December 14, 2024An intense, Bourbon from South Carolina crafted with a mash bill with a (minimum of 51% corn, a touch of rye & ?) aged in new American charred white oak barres & bottled at 58.5% ABV. It has a delicate birth with hints if grains, wood & spices; while a rich & intense life adds notes of sweet caramel corn, cinnamon, oak, vanilla & pepper; that led to a bold death of medium length. Reviewed May 27, 2022This is a 117 proof barrel strength bourbon, it does not drink like high proof. It has a very clean smell, with hints of caramel, vanilla and a little pepper. Upon second sip the caramel really comes through followed up with a Smokey flavor and the pepper really hits me at the finish which I really enjoyed. According to the label this is a 6 month old bourbon which I was really surprised, it drinks like a much older bourbon. I’m really looking forward to seeing what this bourbon taste like in a few years.
