Launched in late 2019, Hooghoudt Aged Genever is a 100% malt wine genever that has matured for 5 years in European oak oloroso sherry casks. It is distilled from wheat, corn and rye to a relatively low strength of 58.
1%, retaining much of the flavors from the grains. Not wanting to distract too much from the original taste, juniper is the only botanical used.

GeneverGenever is a juniper-flavored spirit which combines a botanically-flavored, neutral spirit with a maltwine. Only made in Belgium, the Netherlands, and in specific regions of France and Germany. Jonge genever is made with a maximum of 15% maltwine. Oude genever uses at least 15% of maltwine. Korenwijn genever uses at least 51% of maltwine.

"There's a lot of oloroso sherry goodness going on here. Just a tinge of juniper, but mostly raisins and sultanas with some spicy oak, dark chocolate and menthol. More fudge, figs, raisins and vanilla on the palate, with lingering spices and a gentle sweetness to finish things off."
