Ichiro's Malt & Grain

The mix of countries for this blend create a huge range of flavor. I always have a soft spot for whiskey which does not land firmly in the same flavor profile - would definitely try this again.

On the nose I get apricot, black pepper, and pie crust. On the palate I get apricot, vanila, and mild spice. I get butterscotch on the finish.

Smells light and bright, but we had a hard time distinguishing flavors

Clear light golden body medium legging. Sweet soft fruit pepper aroma. Pepper soft fruit vanilla flavor. Medium light body moderate warming. 8/2/8/4/15 3.7

My first venture into Japanese malts and very interesting. A fairly smooth start with a little warmth but nothing over the top. That gently fades and some frankly unidentifiable flavors come forth but nothing i can distinctly say takes charge. Maybe a hint of apple far into the tasting… meh…
