A balanced, Shochu by the iichiko Distillery for Sanwa Shurui; a family organization in Oita Prefecture, Japan. It is made exclusively from local nine-row barley, fermented with koji & distilled once before being bottled at 43% ABV.
It has an aromatic birth with hints of honeydew melon, Grappa, soy & exotic citrus; while a rich life adds notes of umami, jasmine tea, white peaches & earthy minerality; that leads to a long death at sea with notes of coffee beans, sea spray & tropical fruits.
