Iron Fish Bourbon Finished in Maple Syrup Barrels

Not as flavorful as widow jane decadence but still good

Nose has slighty sweet with hint of the maple syrup. Bit sharp first taste with spicy rye note. Not real smooth. Better as mixer than sipper. Finish brings slight maple taste forward.

Probably better for cocktails than for sipping, as there isn’t much body or finish. But the smell and sweet rich initial taste is lovely

Well…definitely overrated. Get an initial burn as if a higher proof, but tastes of corn, rye & oak….that’s about it. And just when you think the taste falls flat, you get a hint of maple at the end. Not very good for Sippin neat. however quickly made a Manhattan with it and it’s going down fairly nice.
