Iron Fish Bourbon Finished in Maple Syrup Barrels

Maple syrup on the nose when smelling out of the bottle. Otherwise sweet, vanilla, primarily fruity on the nose. Very fruity, vanilla, sweet, bite/bitterness. Vanilla and a bit of maple syrup on the aftertaste.

Sweet finish and good flavor.

The first taste hits like higher proof than just 86. Once the harsh corn, rye, and barley burn off they eventually give way to a smooth maple finish. Great for mixing into an old fashioned, but tastes like it should cost $10 less if sipping neat.
