The first taste hits like higher proof than just 86. Once the harsh corn, rye, and barley burn off they eventually give way to a smooth maple finish. Great for mixing into an old fashioned, but tastes like it should cost $10 less if sipping neat.

Slightly sweet with vanilla notes. Expected a little more maple. Respectable.
