Reviewed April 19, 2024NEAT NOSE - Vanilla and Caramel PALATE - Surprisingly slightly viscous on the palate with vanilla and caramel notes with the caramel being more prominent. I don’t get any baking spices, “rye-like spice”, or a bite at all. This is extremely smooth on the palate and very sweet. There’s a unique note to it as well that I can’t pick up on; I imagine its due to this being a 100% rice whiskey because I haven’t picked up on it in any bourbon or rye. FINISH - Short, Sweet BUY? - Yes. While it has similar bourbon notes, it’s unique enough to warrant a purchase to see if you like it. It’s very similar to bourbon actually. BUY AGAIN? - I would, but I’d probably pick up more Single Barrels as I come across them as those are much better. -

Reviewed April 19, 2023 (edited November 20, 2023)Front palate gave me smooth sweet honey notes without any harsh bite. Drinks lower than its proof. My sip finishes smoothly with a bit of oak and cherry fruit. It reminded me of an old fadhioned. Beautifully balanced. 100% recommended purchasing and could be a daily sipper if it wasn’t so hard for me to find. Just stumbled across this treasure during my latest trip to Louisiana. Dont pass this one up!42.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed January 16, 2023 (edited August 23, 2023)If you’re expecting that rice flavor like you get in the vodka you won’t find it. This bottle definitely exceeded expectations for being only a 4 year and being it’s their first whiskey bottle ever made. Definitely recommend42.0 USD per Bottle
