TastedCampfire smoke and alcohol nose. I was concerned about pallet being bananas on fire but it’s a subtle smoke and caramel flavor. Finish is medium. A great fall outdoor drink. Taste and smell or marshmallow roasting and a family bonfire -

TastedOut in Coronado, CA for the week and tried this experimental Whiskey from Jack Daniels. Originally released as a distillery exclusive in late 2018 it's now available in a few markets including CA. They take fully matured Jack Daniels and finish it with charred Hickory Smoked Oak staves that they immerse in the barrels for an undisclosed period of time. It's bottled at 100 proof. So how does it taste? Let's dive in.. Upon entry you are immediately hit with a hickory campfire smoke note.. it's pretty dominant but eventually subsides to reveal some vanilla and toffee... A lot of drying burnt oak on the finish... The more you sip it the more you get used to it... It's not sweet per se but you do get some sweetness that comes thru as your palate assimilates to the hickory note... All in all whilst unique it's a bit disjointed, too oak forward and drying to me.. For $29.99 it's not bad for an experimental Whiskey however I would not go as far as to recommend it.29.99 USD per BottleCentral Liquor & Deli -

TastedPleasant hickory smoke aroma. Very smooth with a nice smoky palette and a warming feeling from deep down. Better than Old No. 7 but not worth the cost really40.0 USD per BottleNashville
