Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof Tennessee Whiskey

This is incredible - one of my all time favorites on my shelf. Don’t write off Jack Daniel’s because of Old No.7. Their barrel proof selections are phenomenal. Barrel number 20-20137 from rick R-20 bottled on 3-9-21 at 131.0 proof. “Info: Barrel #15-C-26(#12) Notes: Caramel, clover honey, faint cocoa, light banana, rich toffee. Dusty, musty, dank, tobacco. Rich on the palate – plum and honey initially on the palate followed by custard, cherry, brittle and caramels. Delightful and decadent.”

Rich. Chocolate covered peanuts. Bitter oak. Cherry losange.

JD levels up! This packs a punch. Lots of caramelized sugars, barrel notes, spice, and that signature banana note with a long tannic finish. My favorite way to drink this is over a big rock. Let the ice melt and enjoy each sip as the flavors evolve with dilution.

Nose - Caramelized banana, creamed corn, butter, hint of oak notes Taste - Peanut butter banana sandwich, heavy on the banana. Burn is there for the proof, but still drinks fairly smooth

Rick No. R-19 Barrel No. 21-05087 Bottled: 06/07/2021 Poured neat. Sweet cream, sticky buns, baking cinnamon, and liquorice on the nose once you get past the high alcohol percentage. Stating the obvious first, it drinks hot. There's a mixture of sweet and hot cinnamon flavors that jump out first, followed by a heavy maple syrup, banana nut bread, and tobacco. Potent, but delicious.
