This is surprisingly complex and dense, despite its implied lack of age. The nose is a bit reluctant, with a slightly metallic malt, cherries, and coffee. Palate is very rich and thick in texture with much of the stout beer character coming through as creamy malt, salty butterscotch, more coffee, milk chocolate, and the faintest hint of hops. Finish is longer than the Irishes I've had in the past, with a warm chocolatey coffee bean air.
Normally, I'm not a fan of copper flavors in my drinks, but it melds with the stout profile so wonderfully well. Definitely nab this even if you don't like standard Jameson. (which I don't.)
