Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition

More intense than the original, notes of vanilla, coffee and dark chocolate, slightly spicy, a drier finish than the classic Jameson.

I enjoy this a lot, chocolate and coffee on the nose. I get rich dark chocolate cake on the palate especially after it sits out for a few minutes

Quite the departure from the regular Jameson. The creamy notes reminded me a bit of coffee creamer. Spice is subdued. The sweet vanilla & butterscotch flavors are strong. Bottle says it has chocolate notes, but I had hard time finding them. Nevertheless it is a very tasty whisky and so easy to drink. Ice and water did flatten the flavor so go for that neat pour. Stout cask is the way to go. It didn’t takes two of us more than 4 hours to finish the whole bottle. Looking forward to try out rest of the editions in the caskmates series.
